The new Volvo XC40 Recharge is expected to arrive in Ukraine with a starting price of UAH 1.6 million (just under EUR 47.9 thousand). Deliveries of the first cars will begin in July 2021. As stated by the representative office, the specified (approximate!) price will include a 3-year warranty, scheduled maintenance, and the branded Roadside Assistance package.

Volvo XC40 Recharge is interesting in many ways because it is the Swedes' first mass-produced electric vehicle. Previously, in 2009-2010, Volvo already had an electric car: the C30 BEV hatchback, but it was only produced in a pilot batch. In this case, we are talking about a production, global car built on the CMA (Compact Modular Architecture) platform, which was initially designed for hybrids and EVs.

The Volvo XC40 Recharge has only one version: with two electric motors producing 408 hp and 660 Nm, and a 78 kWh battery. The crossover reaches 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, the top speed is 180 km/h, and the range on a single charge is about 400 km according to the WLTP cycle.

One of the highlights of the Volvo XC40 Recharge is the multimedia system based on Google software. The car will automatically receive new updates over the air and install them. Another feature of the new model is special all-season tires designed specifically for this car to save battery charge.

And since it is an electric car, it has two trunks – the front one has a volume of 31 liters, and the classic rear one – 413 liters.
