Japanese brands dominate the 2026 reliable car ranking. The top ten includes models from Toyota, Subaru, Lexus, and Honda, as well as representatives from Kia and Hyundai. The first three positions were taken by Toyota cars. This is reported by Consumer Reports.

The most reliable cars of 2026: Toyota took the first three places

The first position went to the Toyota Camry with an average price of $34,952. The second place was taken by the Toyota Prius, which is valued at an average of $35,718. The top three is closed by the Toyota Corolla with a figure of $25,560.

Fourth was the Subaru Forester with an average price of $39,527. For the 2026 model year, the crossover also received an off-road Wilderness version. The fifth place went to the all-wheel-drive Subaru Impreza, with an average price of $27,003.

Car reliability rating 2026: top 10 models

The second half of the top ten includes two Lexus crossovers. The Lexus NX took sixth position with an average price of $50,896, and the Lexus RX at $59,257 - seventh.
