This figure was announced by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko.
Phantom patrols Ukraine
Phantom patrols, also known as hidden patrols, are visually unremarkable vehicles equipped with equipment for automatic recording of violations directly while driving, both in the same and opposite directions. The idea is that as soon as a phantom patrol records a violation, the crew immediately turns on the flashing beacons and thus forces the violator to pull over and stop. After that, the police hand the driver a protocol on administrative violation.

How to recognize phantom patrols
The four hidden patrols currently in Ukraine are pre-facelift gray Skoda Kodiaq crossovers. Visually, they can be recognized 100% only up close: by the "strobe lights" installed under the rear window, on the lower edge of the tailgate (at the back), and also under the radiator grille (at the front). In addition, if you try hard, you can also see the violation recording radar from behind – it is installed on the luggage shelf of the car.

As for the crew itself, no camouflage is provided – police officers of phantom patrols wear ordinary uniforms.
By the way, all Skodas are equipped with a powerful 2.0-liter diesel engine. In addition to special signals and radars, their equipment also includes a tablet and a printer – for printing protocols.

Interestingly, initially the Ministry of Internal Affairs wanted to put 300 phantom patrols on the roads over the next three years, but now, as you can see, this figure has been revised.
By the end of 2021, the number of such patrols should be 150 units.
By the way, did you know that there are phantom patrols on trucks in the world?
