The most common circumstances leading to fatalities:

driving in the oncoming lane outside of an overtaking maneuver — 58 deaths;

pedestrians crossing the roadway outside of a crosswalk — 48 deaths.
The peak of accidents occurs in the evening hours — from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and the most risky situations are recorded on Fridays.
