Today, the G-Class model range consists of three main versions:

  • G 550 — equipped with a 3.0-liter inline turbo engine producing 443 horsepower and 560 Nm, capable of accelerating the car to 100 km/h in less than 5.5 seconds.

  • G 580 EQ — an electric version with four electric motors, with a combined output of 579 hp and 1165 Nm of torque.

  • AMG G 63 — a modification with a 4.0-liter biturbo V8 that delivers 577 hp and 850 Nm, and is considered a true symbol of sporty luxury among SUVs.

The appearance of fresh indices may indicate different plans: both a gradual update of the entire family and the creation of special versions — for example, open-top bodies or even a seven-seat variant for buyers seeking practicality without compromising the off-road character of the G-Class.

Such a step aligns with the course that Mercedes-Benz outlined in 2022: the company is moving away from focusing on large sales volumes, instead concentrating on affluent customers by producing rarer and more expensive models with higher profitability.

Although no official statements from the automaker have been made yet, the very registration of new designations has already caused noticeable excitement among analysts. The G-Class still remains one of the brand's most profitable products, and its further evolution shows that the legendary "Gelik" has not yet exhausted its potential.
