Mitsubishi has unveiled a new generation of the Pajero, which returns the model to the segment of large body-on-frame SUVs. The car features a chassis based on the Triton pickup, a diesel engine, all-wheel drive, and a seven-seat cabin.
The new Mitsubishi Pajero has a length of 4920 mm and a wheelbase of 2870 mm. Ground clearance is 230 mm, approach angle is 30.4 degrees, departure angle is 25.8 degrees. Up front, there is an independent double-wishbone suspension, while at the rear there is a solid axle with a five-link setup.

Under the hood, a 2.4-liter turbodiesel with variable geometry turbo was installed. Mitsubishi has not yet announced the power, but torque is 480 Nm, and for certain versions - 470 Nm.
The engine works with a new eight-speed automatic transmission. The all-wheel drive system is complemented by the S-AWC system with Active Yaw Control and seven modes for different types of surfaces. In the future, electrified powertrains are planned for the Mitsubishi Pajero.

The cabin provides three rows and seven seats. Higher trims get two 14.3-inch displays, while lower trims get a 12.3-inch screen. The digital panel can show altitude, direction of travel, temperature, and body tilt angles.
"Mitsubishi calls the new Pajero a global flagship and an SUV for traveling over rough terrain," notes author Oleksiy Astapov.
Equipment also includes eight airbags, the MI-PILOT suite, a surround-view system with a virtual view under the car, and a 12-speaker Yamaha audio system.
Production of the Mitsubishi Pajero will be organized in Thailand. By the end of March 2027, sales are expected to begin in Thailand, Japan, and Australia, after which the model will be introduced to approximately 100 global markets.
