As it turned out during the inspection, the high-pressure fuel pump fastening in some models could have been performed with deviations from technological requirements, which increases the likelihood of fuel leakage and, accordingly, the risk of fire in the vehicle.

Porsche turned out to be the most affected brand. The service campaign list includes 107 units of Panamera, Panamera E-Hybrid, and Cayenne that rolled off the assembly line in 2024–2026. The reason is the likely insufficient tightening torque of the pump fasteners during assembly. Despite the fact that the total number of cars is not very large, the real threat of fuel leakage and subsequent ignition remains quite serious.

The situation gained resonance after the case with a 2025 Lamborghini Urus. The SUV owner said that shortly before the fire, a sharp smell of fuel was felt in the cabin, and a corresponding warning appeared on the instrument panel. The driver managed to stop the car, but the flames very quickly engulfed the vehicle. Fortunately, no one was injured, but this case gained publicity and drew attention to the defect. Soon, during an inspection of another Urus at a service station, about 16 liters of fuel were found in the crankcase — which became another proof of the scale of the problem.

The conducted investigation established that a failure occurred on the Porsche assembly line: due to scanner malfunctions, workers resorted to using a different tool for tightening fasteners, and manual quality control did not meet technical standards. This led to the emergence of potentially dangerous defects.

In addition to 107 Porsche vehicles, the recall also covered 14 Lamborghini Urus crossovers and one 2025 Audi SQ7. In total, this involves 122 vehicles. It can be said that the number is small, but given the premium status and high cost of these models, even isolated cases of malfunction deal a serious blow to the manufacturers' reputation.
