Mitsubishi has announced prices for the new Pajero 2027 model year for Australia. The body-on-frame SUV will start from $49,300, while the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 250 starts from $52,700 there. First deliveries are scheduled for December 2026. Carscoops writes about this.
Australians will be offered three trims: GLS, Exceed, and GSR. The base GLS will be five- or seven-seat, while more expensive versions will get three rows of seats as standard equipment.

Prices excluding additional on-road costs are:
GLS 5-seat - $49,300;
GLS 7-seat - $50,400;
Exceed - $57,600;
GSR - $61,200.
"The starting price of the new Pajero turned out to be almost $3,600 lower than that of the obvious competitor from Toyota," notes author Oleksii Astapov.
The base trim has 18-inch wheels, two 12.3-inch screens, dual-zone climate control, heated steering wheel, and power tailgate. Exceed gets 20-inch wheels, two 14.3-inch displays, leather interior, and a Yamaha audio system.

All versions are equipped with a 2.4-liter turbodiesel producing 201 hp and 480 Nm of torque. The engine works with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Standard features include Super Select II all-wheel drive, S-AWC system with seven modes, Active Yaw Control, and rear differential lock. The maximum trailer weight is 3,500 kg.
Mitsubishi will produce the Pajero in Thailand alongside the Triton pickup. The company plans to gradually introduce the model to about 100 markets.
