The car received a more powerful engine with a turbocharger from the Golf R hot hatch and off-road tires.
The crossover is equipped with a two-liter gasoline engine that produces 235 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque in stock form. After installing a new turbocharger, carbon intake, "angry" exhaust, and reflashing the engine control unit, the output of the four-cylinder unit increased to 350 horsepower and 474 Nm. Thus, the tuning made the engine even more powerful than the standard V6 offered for the Atlas.

In addition, the tuners increased the ground clearance by 38 millimeters, added 20-inch forged wheels with "aggressive" Toyo Open Country tires, installed powerful six-piston brakes with 350-millimeter discs, and wrapped the body in vinyl film prepared by the American company Digital Precision.
At APR, they state that such a car is just a one-off project. Nevertheless, the tuners intend to develop upgrade programs for the VW SUV lineup in the near future.
