True, we are not talking about courtyards yet, but those who park their cars on the street under the windows of their homes will be forced to pay. Let us remind you that recently parking fees in Kyiv have increased significantly and now amount to 5-35 hryvnias per hour.

Given the fact that parking in Kyiv is paid on weekdays from 8:00 to 22:00, residents of the center will have to pay 420 hryvnias per day, and residents of the outskirts – 60 hryvnias. Given the fact that during quarantine many Kyivites work from home, they will have to fork out for parking.
As reported by Vitaliy Selik, adviser to the deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration, parking spaces are now being actively marked and numbered in Kyiv. In addition, they have begun installing information signs indicating the tariff and a QR code for payment. Payment can be made via Privat24, EasyPay, or the "Kyiv Digital" app.

- These parking spaces were equipped in Kyiv back in 2011. It was then that three parking zones were first introduced in the city, - emphasized Vitaliy Selik. - Then and now, parking on these streets in residential areas costs 5 UAH/hour. These are either streets where so-called "pockets" for civilized car parking are equipped along the roadway, which was expanded at the time, or separate sections.
In particular, paid parking lots are arranged on the following streets:
- Holosiivskyi district: Akademika Zabolotnoho Street, Stolychnе Shose, Hlushkova Avenue, Dmytra Lutsenka Street, Marshala Konieva Street, Akademika Hlushkova Avenue.

As for courtyards and adjacent territories, the situation here is twofold. On the one hand, this is municipal land – if it is not registered for a condominium association or housing cooperative. That is, the city in principle has the right to charge for parking. On the other hand, Vitaliy Selik claims that the city will gradually move to resident parking, meaning residents of buildings will either not pay for parking at all or receive a discount.
