Let us remind you that the Skoda Kushaq is the smallest crossover in the Czech manufacturer's lineup (it debuted in the first half of this year). It is intended for India, where it is not only sold but also produced. The car is built on the local version of the global Volkswagen MQB platform (MQB-A0-IN), it reaches 4,221 mm in length, 1,612 mm in height, and 1,760 mm in width, with a wheelbase of 2,651 mm.

Skoda Kushaq valued at $14,000

Skoda Kushaq buyers have access to two engines: a three-cylinder 1.0 TSI with 116 hp and a four-cylinder 1.5 TSI with 150 hp. Both engines come standard with a 6-speed manual transmission, but for an additional fee, the smaller unit can be paired with a 6-speed automatic, and the larger one with a 7-speed DSG. Drive is front-wheel only. Three trim levels are also available: Active, Ambition, and Style. The equipment list includes, for example, two USB-C ports in the front and two in the rear, an infotainment system with a 7- or 10-inch screen, a multifunction steering wheel, parking sensors, or an audio system with 6 speakers. In top trims, the car can boast, among other things, automatic climate control, a rear-view camera, wireless phone charging, ventilated leather seats, and an upgraded audio system.

So what about the money? The exact starting price of the Skoda Kushaq, converted from Indian rupees, is $14,095. For this money, you get a car with a 1.0-liter engine and manual transmission in the base trim. A version with the same engine but with an automatic will cost $19,062. True, the equipment there is much richer.

But the Kushaq with the 1.5 engine comes only in top trims, so the price tags are corresponding. With a manual gearbox, such a crossover will cost Indians $21,761, and with an automatic – $23,644.
