As local media report, the one-of-a-kind structure has been named the "high-altitude turnaround." Thanks to this engineering solution, motorists will be able to save a huge amount of time: to go in the opposite direction, they will no longer need to look for the nearest interchange on the "ground": the two-lane loop-"annex" will allow them to perform the necessary maneuver right high above the ground, directly on the bridge.
It is noted that the maximum permitted speed on the loop is 40 km/h.

By the way, Guizhou Province is one of the most challenging terrains in China in terms of landscape – mountains dominate here, but this does not stop local road builders; on the contrary, it pushes them to come up with truly impressive solutions in the development of road infrastructure. This province already has several of the highest bridges in the world, and this overpass has complemented the already complex but impressive road network of the region (see photo below).
