Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov stated that the launch of the pilot project took place as promised. According to him, there is now time for preparation, after which the Cabinet of Ministers will approve the procedure for issuing licenses. When it becomes clear which cameras will be connected to the system, the international investment bank will begin selecting investors to participate in this large-scale project, whose cost is estimated in the billions. This is reported by "UNN".

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs also emphasized that the installed cameras are capable of accurately reading vehicle license plates and taking high-quality photos of drivers violating traffic rules.

Avakov said that the test equipment started working in the morning. By six o'clock in the morning, the cameras recorded such a number of violations that, in terms of fines, could bring the state about three million hryvnias.

Recall that today, July 4, the pilot project on photo and video recording of traffic violations was launched. It is important to understand that the system is currently operating in test mode: violations are already being registered, but fine receipts will not be sent to drivers yet. This will happen in the near future, so it is worth getting used to following traffic rules even in places where there is no one around.
