As the official reported, about 20 billion hryvnias will be allocated for road infrastructure of both state and local significance. According to Pivovarsky, such an amount directed to the restoration of Ukrainian roads from budgets of all levels has not been allocated before.

However, it is worth clarifying and making an important note here. In 2015, Ukravtodor received 25.5 billion hryvnias, but of these, 17.4 billion went to repay credit debts. As a result, only 8.1 billion hryvnias remained for repair works, provided that the funds were distributed transparently and fairly.

Regarding road financing in 2016, it is not yet known whether debts will be repaid from these 20 billion. However, the minister added that international financial organizations will invest about 4.5 billion hryvnias in Ukrainian infrastructure this year. Part of these funds will be directed to the preparation of project documentation for the third project implemented with the support of the World Bank.

It is worth noting that according to Ukravtodor data, the construction of one kilometer of road with a dividing strip and 2-4 lanes in each direction costs 70-100 million hryvnias.
