Diesel fuel in Ukraine costs an average of 94-98 UAH/l, and premium grades already reach 99-100 UAH/l. A-95 is sold at approximately 83-87 UAH/l, while autogas remains the cheapest - 43-45 UAH/l. However, changing a car solely because of fuel costs does not always pay off.
Diesel at 100 UAH: how much do 100 km cost on different fuels
With diesel consumption of 6-8 l/100 km, a 100 km trip costs approximately 600-780 UAH. A petrol car with consumption of 7-10 l/100 km requires about 600-870 UAH.
The lowest costs are provided by LPG. With consumption of 9-12 l of gas per 100 km, the cost of such mileage is about 400-540 UAH.

A car on LPG or petrol: who benefits from giving up diesel
LPG has the lowest cost per kilometer among the three options, but it requires expenses for installation and subsequent maintenance of the equipment. With an annual mileage of 20 thousand km or more, the costs of the system can pay off in approximately 1-1.5 years.
A petrol car has higher fuel consumption than a diesel equivalent, but more moderate maintenance costs. This option is recommended in the source primarily for drivers with an annual mileage of up to 10-15 thousand km.
For owners of diesel cars, switching to another car means additional expenses for selling, buying and re-registering. Diesel remains an option for high highway mileage, although maintenance of the fuel system and exhaust cleaning systems costs more.
