IKCO Tara largely replicates the French donor models, with its own changes limited to the design of the front and rear. In the Iranian version, the sedan looks more modern: sharp edges, large angular headlights, and elongated rear lights with a honeycomb pattern are noticeable. There are characteristic stampings on the hood and sides. Inside, there are also few differences from the originals.

Dimensions of IKCO Tara: length — 4519 mm, width — 1768 mm, height — 1466 mm, wheelbase — 2655 mm. The trunk holds 506 liters. This Franco-Iranian sedan has disc brakes on all wheels, MacPherson struts in front, and a semi-independent torsion beam in the rear.

Under the hood of the IKCO Tara is a 1.6-liter Peugeot petrol engine producing 113 hp. In the base version, the engine is paired with a 5-speed manual, while a 6-speed automatic is available for an extra charge. The car accelerates to 100 km/h in 9.5 seconds, with a top speed of 190 km/h.

The equipment of the Middle Eastern clone of the most affordable Peugeot-Citroen sedan may include a multimedia system with a 7-inch screen and rear-view camera, power windows, air conditioning, power steering, ESP, EBD, and tire pressure monitoring systems, as well as four airbags.
