The company has released two versions of the new model - BMW iX xDrive40 and BMW iX xDrive50, both with all-wheel drive. The younger "forty" was priced in Germany at 77,300 euros, while the older version with index 50 costs 98,000 euros.

The BMW iX xDrive50 is powered by two electric motors, one on each axle, with a combined output of about 370 kW/500 hp. The battery capacity is over 100 kWh, with a claimed range of up to 600 km on the WLTP cycle. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes less than 5.0 seconds.

As for the BMW iX xDrive40, its power is over 240 kW/300 hp. The battery is 70 kWh, enough for 400 km of range. Acceleration to 100 km/h is just over 6.0 seconds.

Both new models support fast charging: with its help, the battery can be "filled" to 80% in 40 minutes.

Deliveries of the BMW iX xDrive40 and BMW iX xDrive50 to the EU will begin in late 2021.
