The concept car Toyota Aygo X Prologue precedes the new model. The car features a very unconventional design. It has a pronounced nose, muscular flared fenders, and sculpted sides.

The LED headlights stretch across the full width of the body, and the door handles are flush-fitting. The rearview mirrors incorporate dashcam cameras, and the rear bumper has a mount for carrying a bicycle.

The production model will likely look more restrained than the concept car, but the design of the Toyota Aygo will still be very expressive. It is being developed at the brand's European studio, and the model's premiere is scheduled for 2022.

It is known that the new Toyota Aygo will use the TNGA-B architecture from the larger Yaris. Recall that the current hatchback shares its platform with the Citroen C1 and Peugeot 108.
