A significant part of Kyiv's streets and courtyards ended up under water — in low-lying areas, the flooding depth often reached half a meter. The transport interchanges in the area of Nyvky and Dorohozhychi were particularly affected, where vehicle passage was completely blocked.

The bad weather also made adjustments to the operation of the subway. The 'Akademmistechko' station was temporarily closed: water penetrated the vestibule, where the ticket offices and turnstiles are located.

At the 'Beresteiska' station, as a precautionary measure, massive airtight doors had to be deployed, which are usually used when the station is used as a shelter. At the moment, train traffic has already been restored.

To combat the consequences of the rampage of the elements, the municipal corporation 'Kyivavtodor' deployed 12 teams of hydraulic services and 38 teams engaged in manual cleaning on the city streets. In total, 326 people are involved in these works.
Weather forecasters predict that heavy rains in the capital will continue for the next few days, so repeated flooding cannot be ruled out. At the same time, it is unlikely that the Kyiv flood will reach the scale similar to those observed in Germany or the Benelux countries.
