The car has changed both in terms of design and technically. Externally, the Audi RS3 2022 will stand out even more aggressively, with the main emphasis on the honeycomb radiator grille and massive air intakes. Also, the hot nature of the model is emphasized by enlarged front and rear spoilers.

Inside, the Audi RS3 has lost its excessive simplicity and acquired a Lamborghini-like appearance. Both the sedan and the hatchback feature a flat-bottomed steering wheel wrapped in Alcantara, sport seats upholstered in Nappa leather, aluminum paddle shifters, and pedal covers made of the same metal. On the front panel there is a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch multimedia screen. A head-up display is also available for the new model.

Under the hood of the Audi RS3 2022 is a five-cylinder 2.5 TFSI engine. It has been used on this model since 2011, but has become more powerful. Specifically, the engine develops 400 hp (20 hp more) in the range from 5600 to 7000 rpm and a maximum torque of 500 Nm in the range from 2250 to 5600 rpm. It works in conjunction with a 7-speed S-tronic automatic transmission with dual clutch. The drive is, of course, all-wheel drive quattro.

From 0 to 100 km/h the car accelerates in 3.8 seconds (0.3 sec faster compared to its predecessor), the maximum speed is 250 km/h. However, there is an optional package that increases the top speed to 290 km/h. Such an RS3, by the way, is already equipped with reinforced carbon-ceramic brakes.

The biggest technical innovation was the RS Torque Splitter torque vectoring system, which replaced the traditional differential. With it, the car has, in particular, better road grip. The ground clearance of the RS3 is 25 mm lower than that of the regular A3, plus the hot version has adaptive dampers.

In Europe, the new Audi RS3 is available from this month. In Germany, prices for the new model start from 60 thousand euros.
