Naturally, Volga GAZ-21 convertibles were never produced. However, even in Soviet times, such conversions did occur. Specifically, this car had its roof cut off by order of Marshal Ivan Yakubovsky, who in 1961-1962 was the commander-in-chief of the Soviet group of forces in Germany.

Obviously, the Volga convertible was used for parades and other ceremonial events. This can also explain the fact that its mileage over 63 years is only 15,000 km.

For the marshal, the GAZ-21 interior was reupholstered in expensive leather, and the car was painted in white and beige colors. The owner claims that the car is almost completely original – only the hubcaps and fuel tank have been replaced, and a modern stereo has replaced the radio. Under the hood is the original 2.5-liter engine with 69 hp.

Now the unique Volga GAZ-21 is put up for sale. The asking price for this rarity is 28.4 thousand euros.
