The GAZ-3105 was originally conceived in the late 80s as a flagship model that was supposed to replace the Chaika. But after the Soviet Union collapsed, serial production could not be established, and in the fight against foreign executive sedans, the Volga still lost. As a result, only a small number of such cars were produced, although plans called for assembling 250 units annually.

Under the hood of the sedan is a specially developed 3.4-liter V8 producing 170 horsepower. It is paired with a five-speed manual gearbox and a permanent all-wheel drive system similar to that used on the Audi Quattro.

By the way, externally the GAZ-3105 Volga is somewhat similar to the Audi 100 of those years. The five-meter-long car is equipped with disc brakes and ABS. Inside, there is velour and wood trim, and the list of options includes air conditioning, an onboard computer, electric seat adjustments, mirrors and windows, as well as heated front seats.
