The Bugatti Type 57S with an exclusive Corsica body was built to order for British businessman Robert Lopner. The four-seat roadster was constructed on the chassis of the racing sports prototype Bugatti 57G Tank, which, by the way, won at Le Mans.

The sports car is equipped with a 3.3-liter inline eight with two camshafts producing 175 hp. The top speed reaches 190 km/h.

In the post-war period, the car changed several owners until it fell into the hands of collector Bill Thornbuhl. He began restoring the car in 1969, and it dragged on for half a century. All this time, the Bugatti 57S stood in his garage-workshop.

After Thornbuhl's death, the car was decided to be sold. The restoration is almost complete, but some work will still have to be done by the new owner. But even despite this, the price of the Bugatti Type 57S is sky-high.
