Peugeot Quartz and Peugeot 2008 DKR:
This rather large car (4.5 meters long, 2 m wide) on 23-inch wheels amazes with its unearthly design. It impresses in every way, with gull-wing doors, high-tech features, and finishing. The car is built on the new modular EMP2 platform. The suspension uses air springs as elastic elements, allowing the driver to change the ground clearance within a fantastic range of 300-350 mm.

A separate topic is the powertrain. 500 horsepower of total power speaks for itself. A boosted 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbo engine producing 270 hp transmits force to the wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission, and in addition, each axle has 85-kilowatt motors. Fuel consumption is not reported, but the plug-in hybrid can travel up to 50 km on pure electric power.

2008 DKR
No less striking and, most importantly, maximally real was the 2008 DKR car, which Peugeot is preparing for the Dakar.

As it became known, tests of this racing SUV are already being conducted in France. Next year, its participation in the Dakar rally raid is planned. Carlos Sainz is taking part in the tests of the rear-wheel-drive mid-engine diesel car.

Car dimensions: length – 4099 mm, width – 2033 mm, height – 1912 mm, wheelbase – 2800 mm. Compared to the production Peugeot 2008, it is 60 millimeters shorter, 204 millimeters wider, and 356 millimeters higher.
The 2008 DKR is equipped with a 3.2-liter six-cylinder diesel engine, V-shaped, with bi-turbocharging. The power is quite respectable (340 hp). Maximum speed is up to 200 km/h. The gearbox, as befits a sports car, is sequential, six-speed.
