In August 2026, about 4,400 passenger cars with diesel engines were registered in Ukraine. Compared to August last year, the figure decreased by 12%. Of the total, 867 cars were new, and 3,512 were used cars imported from abroad. This is reported by Ukravtoprom.

The market for new diesel passenger cars in August shrank by 21% year-on-year. In total, Ukrainians bought 867 such cars. The most popular model was the Renault Duster with a result of 200 cars.

Toyota Land Cruiser Prado - 122 cars.
Volkswagen Touareg - 90 cars.
Skoda Kodiaq - 71 cars.
Toyota Hilux - 46 cars.
The five models from the ranking accounted for 529 new diesel cars registered during the month.
Used diesel cars from abroad: top 5 in August
The segment of imported used cars remained significantly larger. In August, Ukraine's car fleet was replenished with 3,512 such diesel cars. This is 10% less than in the same period of 2025.

Renault Megane - 274 cars.
Nissan Qashqai - 234 cars.
