YU7 is already Xiaomi's second car after the SU7 sedan, which also made a significant impact on the market last year, but even it did not have such a powerful start in sales. According to Xiaomi's CEO Lei Jun, demand for the new crossover exceeded forecasts threefold, and it's not surprising: in China, SUVs are consistently more popular than sedans (in approximately a 3:1 ratio).

To further entice buyers, Xiaomi offered favorable terms for those who order in advance:
– a deposit of 5,000 yuan (about $670), made before the end of July, entitles you to a discount of 66,000 yuan (approximately $8,800) and locks in the price for seven days;
– if you immediately deposit 20,000 yuan (approximately $2,800), you can count on priority delivery of the car from stock, as some finished vehicles are already prepared for shipment.

The YU7 lineup includes three trims: Standard, Pro, and Max. The starting price is 253,000 yuan (about $35,000), and the maximum reaches 329,900 yuan (approximately $46,000). The base version boasts a range of up to 830 km on the CLTC cycle, while the flagship Max develops 508 kW (681 hp).

For comparison: last year, the Xiaomi SU7 sedan gathered 50,000 pre-orders within the first 27 minutes, and within a day their number reached almost 90,000. Over twelve months, the company managed to deliver over 272,000 SU7s, which already caused quite a stir. Now Xiaomi has set the bar even higher...
