As part of the project, schoolchildren filmed social videos about the importance of using reflectors in the dark. In total, students from more than 100 schools in Ukraine took part. The company awarded the winners with modern phones, and educational institutions - the Rivne, Lviv, and Vyshhorod schools - with sets of reflectors.

“Social projects are important because they encourage people to pay attention to problems. Children are the drivers of all social changes, and video is a convenient and understandable format for conveying information. We are proud that so many Ukrainian schoolchildren took the problem seriously and did an important thing - shared knowledge about road safety,” notes Yaroslava Polyakova, Director of Corporate Communications at OKKO.

The director of the Vyshhorod Lyceum Active School, Kristina Bessolova, has already received a package with reflectors for her students.

“Thanks to talented children, society develops. The road in the dark is truly dangerous. We are especially worried about students in winter - visibility is poor, and children attend additional classes and return home already in the dark. Reflectors save lives, I hope that every day I will see more people with them,” comments the director.

“I beg you, shine!” is an initiative of OKKO company, implemented within the framework of the annual project “I beg you, live! Road Safety.” The start of this stage took place on October 22, 2020 - a laser projection was shown on the building of the National Library named after V. I. Vernadskyi - a social video about the importance of using reflectors on the road in the dark. Let us also remind that on November 11, 2020, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine obliged pedestrians to use reflectors in the dark. Schoolchildren often get into accidents due to bad weather and poor visibility. Reflectors save the lives of pedestrians, as they allow the driver to notice a person from 130 meters away.
