The cars embody Tata's new design, called DesignNext. The teardrop-shaped optics with daytime running lights add particular expressiveness to this image. The stampings on the body sides also look good, helping to give the whole image swiftness and dynamics.

The interior of the Bolt hatchback and Zest sedan is no less original than the exterior (and the name). And although everything necessary is here, including even a 5-inch touchscreen, the asymmetric dashboard looks simple and stylish.

The powertrains of the new models are in no way inferior to the exterior content. A petrol turbo engine Revotron is offered, with a volume of 1.2 liters, a power of 85 hp, and a torque of 140 Nm. An alternative to it is an economical 90-horsepower diesel unit Quadrajet, with a volume of 1.3 liters, and its torque reaches 200 Nm. Only a five-speed manual transmission is available as a gearbox.

Sales of the Tata Bolt and Zest in India will begin shortly after the presentation.

Let us recall that models for the Indian market are distinguished by very weak safety characteristics, and in the local "bestseller" Tata Nano, all the dummies recently "died".
