The Lightning prefix in the name points directly to the electric "nature" of the vehicle (interestingly, back in the 1990s and early 2000s, Ford already used this name for sporty versions of the F-150). The car is equipped with two motors with a total output of 563 hp and torque of 1050 Nm; acceleration from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) takes 4.5 seconds (however, a simpler version is also available: 426 hp, but with the same torque). There are two batteries to choose from – with the smaller one, the electric vehicle travels 370 km on a single charge, with the larger one – 482 km. From a 150-kilowatt charger, the battery pack from 15 to 80% is replenished in 41 minutes. At home, the car can be charged in 8-10 hours.

Externally, the Ford F-150 Lightning resembles the fuel pickup, but it can still be recognized – by the characteristic U-shaped LED element that frames the radiator grille and headlights. In addition, the electric pickup has different wheels, plus there are two charging ports – on the left and right front fenders.

The interior also has its own "features" – a 12-inch instrument panel and a 15.5-inch vertically oriented infotainment screen. Well, since it's an electric vehicle, in addition to the main cargo bed, the new model also has a front trunk, and it's quite large – 400 liters.

The starting price of the Ford F-150 Lightning in the US is $39.9 thousand, the mid-range version called Ford F-150 Lightning XLT will cost $52,900, while the top-end electric vehicles will exceed $90 thousand. For a car of this class, the prices are quite democratic – the main competitors cost an order of magnitude more.
