Like the older crossover Volkswagen ID.4 GTX, the hatchback received two motors (one per axle) and all-wheel drive. Together they produce 333 hp, allowing acceleration to 100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds.

The Volkswagen electric car also received a larger 82 kWh battery. It is, of course, heavier, but the vehicle's mass was still reduced by 200 kg through the use of lighter materials in the construction. The range exceeds 500 km.

The new Volkswagen ID.3 GTX is recognizable by its modest body kit and 18-inch wheels. Additionally, bright lime-green accents appeared on the body. The interior was upholstered in Alcantara with contrasting stitching and equipped with sport seats.
