Like these models, the Hyundai Santa Cruz pickup is not body-on-frame – it has a unibody construction, and the platform is borrowed from the Hyundai Tucson 2021. True, the newcomer is larger than the crossover – 4970 mm in length and 1905 mm in width with a wheelbase of 3005 mm. The cargo bed length is 1.32 m.

The kinship with the Tucson is also emphasized in the design – the new Hyundai Santa Cruz features a similar wide radiator grille with integrated LED headlights.

Inside, there is a virtual instrument panel from the same Tucson, and a 10-inch touchscreen is offered for an extra charge. The rear seats have cushions that lift up, and underneath them are storage bins.

The base trim of the Hyundai Santa Cruz includes automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, and driver fatigue monitoring. Options include surround-view cameras and blind-spot monitoring.

The new Hyundai pickup will be equipped with two 2.5-liter engines – a naturally aspirated 190-horsepower and a turbocharged one with 275 hp. In the first case, an 8-speed automatic transmission is installed, in the second – an 8-speed dual-clutch robot. There are versions with front and all-wheel drive.
