In particular, the local company Wallys Car has developed a "national" crossover called Iris. It is handmade, and costs only 13 thousand dollars.

A distinctive feature of the Wallys Iris is that its body is made of fiberglass, and in terms of design, the new product is close to Jeep SUVs. However, you should not expect serious characteristics from the car: it lacks the usual "goodies" of modern cars, and movement is provided by a modest 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine with 82 hp, which allows acceleration to 158 km/h. But more is not needed: the task of the Iris is precisely to solve the main problem - the affordability of transportation for citizens.

In Tunisia, both new and used cars are an unattainable dream for many due to high prices: for example, a new Toyota Corolla in this country costs over 30 thousand dollars, and used cars like the Ford Fiesta often cost twice as much as in Europe and the USA. This is due to exorbitant taxes and duties.

If we draw parallels, we can conclude that at this stage Ukraine could also use a project like Wallys Iris.

However, the new Tunisian SUV also has versions for the "rich". With a full set of options, which include, in particular, LED optics, parking sensors, and a rear-view camera, its cost can increase by more than two times (that is, from 26 thousand dollars).
