The Kia EV6 is built on the E-GMP platform – a purely “electric” chassis, with no provision for an internal combustion engine in its design. This platform has already been used in the recently unveiled electric crossover Hyundai Ioniq 5. E-GMP allows for lightweight batteries with a capacity of up to 72.6 kWh (range of 500+ km) and an 800-volt charging system.

The design of the new model is completely unique, executed in a new style. A characteristic feature of the electric car is the so-called digital tiger face, which forms the pattern of the lighting. It replaces the conventional “tiger face” used by Kia on modern fuel-powered models. In addition, attention is drawn to the sloping windshield, roof, and rear pillars, as well as the new brand logo (rendered in a different font and without the surrounding oval).

The interior of the Kia EV6 features a new multimedia and audio-visual navigation screen, as well as refined and lightweight front seats. Most of the interior trim elements are made from recycled plastic.

More detailed information about the Kia EV6 will be published by the manufacturer later: approximately at the end of the month, when its full premiere takes place.
By 2027, Kia will introduce 7 new electric vehicles in total. Each of them will have the prefix EV and a number corresponding to its size in its name.
