The second-generation Acura TLX is built on a new platform with double-wishbone front suspension and multi-link rear suspension. Adaptive dampers can be ordered for an additional cost. The model has noticeably grown in size: the sedan's length is 4943 mm (+74), width is 1910 mm (+56), and height is 1433 mm (–15). The wheelbase is 2870 mm (+94 mm). In addition, body rigidity has increased by one and a half times.

The new Acura TLX still does without a digital instrument cluster, but it does boast high-quality leather and wood trim. The 10-inch infotainment screen is not touch-sensitive and is controlled via a touchpad. The sedan also features a three-section passenger airbag that prevents the head from sliding to the side.
The base TLX is equipped with a two-liter turbo engine producing 276 hp and 380 Nm of torque, which replaces the naturally aspirated 2.4-liter unit with 209 hp. The transmission is a 10-speed automatic. By default, the sedan has front-wheel drive, but an all-wheel-drive system, the fourth-generation SW-AWD with individual rear-wheel coupling, is available for an additional cost.

The top Type S trim surprises with a new 3.0 V6 turbo engine with direct injection, whose power has not yet been disclosed. This sedan will be equipped with Brembo brakes, 20-inch wheels, and a sport body kit including a splitter, diffuser, and rear spoiler.
The second-generation Acura TLX will be produced at a plant in Ohio, and the sedan will go on sale in the fall. Prices for the new model have not yet been announced.
