The new powertrain will be able to produce 360 horsepower and 480 newton-meters, but the company calls these figures preliminary, as the Acura TLX Type S sedan, for which this engine is intended, currently exists only as a concept. The production version of the model is expected next year. Apparently, for this reason, the manufacturer is also in no hurry to release data on the car's dynamics.
Pre-production examples of the Acura TLX Type S can be seen in August at the Pikes Peak competition in Colorado, where these sedans will serve as pace cars.
Regular versions of the new Acura TLX will appear at dealers this fall, but the top Type S modifications should be expected no earlier than spring.
