The new models are called GTA and GTAm — they will be produced in a limited run of 500 units, will feature active aerodynamic elements borrowed from Formula 1, and a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine with 540 horsepower.

The “carbon” super sedans Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA and GTAm are based on the Giulia Quadrifoglio version with an aluminum 2.9-liter twin-turbo engine. The engine was recalibrated, increasing output from 510 to 540 horsepower, and supplemented with a titanium Akrapovič exhaust system with integrated tailpipes in the rear diffuser. The handling of the “Giulia” was improved by widening the track by 50 millimeters, replacing shock absorbers, springs, and installing stiffer suspension bushings.

In the GTA, Alfa Romeo engineers seriously worked on reducing weight and improving aerodynamics. Carbon fiber is used for the driveshaft, hood, roof, front bumper, and wheel arches. Aluminum alloys and composites are used in the suspension, doors, and other elements. The rear wing, which is part of the aerodynamic package developed with the participation of Sauber Engineering, Alfa Romeo's Formula 1 partner, is also made of carbon fiber. In addition to the wing, the set includes side skirts and an active front splitter.

The GTAm version is even more hardcore – it is track-oriented. This sedan is 100 kilograms lighter than the Giulia Quadrifoglio and accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds instead of 3.9 seconds.

Instead of the rear bench, the Giulia GTAm has a body reinforcement with a crossbar for attaching seat belts, and there are compartments for helmets and a fire extinguisher; door handles are replaced with straps, and side and rear windows are replaced with Lexan polycarbonate. At the same time, the GTAm is approved for regular roads.

The total production run of the Giulia GTA and GTAm sedans will be only 500 units. Along with the car, buyers will receive a gift set with a Bell helmet, an Alpinestars racing suit, and a driving skills course from the Alfa Romeo Driving Academy.
