Externally, the restyled Haval H9 can be recognized by its headlights with LED modules and a reduced-size radiator grille. Inside, there are seats with diamond stitching, a virtual instrument panel, and a new multimedia system with a nine-inch display, improved graphics, and logic of operation.

However, the most important changes came in the technical part: the Haval H9 began to be equipped with an Eaton cross-axle differential lock on the front axle and a function that improves maneuverability by braking the rear inner wheel relative to the turn. In addition, the list of equipment now includes an off-road cruise control that operates at speeds of 5-12 kilometers per hour.

Under the hood of the updated H9, there is a 2.0-liter gasoline turbo-four producing 224 horsepower and 385 Nm of torque. The engine can run on AI-92 and meets the local environmental standard. The eight-speed ZF automatic transmission and all-wheel drive with low-range gearing remain unchanged.
