For context, this is 10 times more than what was consumed during the same period last year. At that time, the automaker replenished its reserves by 'only' $104 million.

Tesla's total revenue for the same period amounted to $11.96 billion. Meanwhile, a year earlier it was $6.04 billion. That is, this indicator also saw significant growth – by 98%.

Reasons for such success? There are at least three factors. The first is the huge demand for electric vehicles from customers. In the second quarter of 2021, the manufacturer delivered 201,304 vehicles to customers and produced 206,421 vehicles. This is the highest quarterly figure since the company's founding in 2003. The second factor is the increase in car prices, and finally, the third is the reduction of internal production costs.

It is worth noting that Tesla currently produces four electric vehicles: the Model S liftback, the Model X mid-size crossover, the Model 3 sedan, and the Model Y compact crossover. In 2022, they should be joined by the Cybertruck pickup, the Semi truck, and the Roadster sports car.

Currently, Tesla cars are produced at facilities in the USA and China. This year, a factory in Germany should also start operating. Additionally, another automobile plant is preparing to open in the States.
