According to the Consulting Group A-95, on July 27, not a single trader offered diesel fuel in railcar volumes. Such a situation has not been observed over the past twelve years, reports enkorr.

The disappearance of diesel from free sale is due to its shortage and the desire of companies to preserve existing stocks. Interestingly, the volumes of diesel imports to Ukraine in the first 25 days of July corresponded to last year's (406.9 thousand tons), but during that period the market was oversaturated: in spring, fuel was purchased at minimum prices, which made it possible to create significant reserves.

At the same time, July supplies turned out to be 34 thousand tons less than June ones, while consumption, on the contrary, increased.

The most acute shortage of diesel fuel will make itself felt within the next seven days. According to estimates by specialists of the Consulting Group A-95, the situation should stabilize in August — there are several prerequisites for this.

First, Ukrnafta will increase processing to a maximum of 14,000 tons per day; currently, the enterprise provides only certain large customers, for example, Ukrzaliznytsia. Secondly, already on July 28, a tanker with 30 thousand tons of diesel will arrive in Mykolaiv, and its sale will start exactly a week later.

In addition, there are expectations of growth in August imports from Belarus, since the Mozyr Refinery was under major repairs until early July.
