As reported in an analytical article by The Washington Post, from 2005 to 2016, the American authorities sent 76,000 vehicles to Afghanistan, including 43,000 Ford Ranger pickups and 22,000 Humvee SUVs, which everyone knows as Hummer. Of this number, 70% of the vehicles were transferred to the army, and the rest were sent to police units.

If we assess the scale of deliveries, according to the Carscoops portal, we are talking about a truly huge amount of equipment. For clarity: the same 43,000 Rangers is almost as many as Ford sold of such pickups on the US domestic market in the first eight months of 2019.

In total, the United States invested 83 billion dollars in strengthening Afghanistan's defense capabilities. Of this amount, a third went to vehicles and related equipment.

It is worth recalling that the United States completed its presence in Afghanistan on August 30, 2021. During the withdrawal of troops, the Americans destroyed part of the equipment so that it would not fall into enemy hands. However, this only concerned faulty units. Thus, during the completion of the evacuation from Kabul, US military disabled 70 MRAP armored vehicles, 27 Humvee SUVs, and 73 aircraft remaining at the airport.
