The Chinese manufacturer has to operate in conditions of fierce price competition in the domestic market, which puts pressure on profitability, and at the same time be under the control of the authorities, who do not approve of dumping schemes. Despite the fact that the company's revenues continue to grow and reached 200.9 billion yuan in the second quarter, this was not enough to offset the negative impact on profit.

BYD's plan for the year involves selling 5.5 million cars, but current sales figures give no reason to hope for achieving this goal. In seven months, only 2.49 million cars were sold, which does not even reach half of the planned volume.

This situation breeds skepticism among analysts, as the decline in sales in the Chinese market has been observed for several consecutive months, and production volumes are falling for the first time in a year and a half.
