Today, a full range of services for common 16-inch wheels costs car owners 1000–1200 hryvnias. This price includes wheel removal, tire dismounting and mounting, as well as balancing. Last autumn, a similar set of procedures cost approximately 750–900 hryvnias, so the increase on average reached 20–30 %.

If you consider services separately, dismounting or mounting one wheel is estimated at 80–100 hryvnias, tire removal and installation costs similarly, and balancing one wheel is 80–120 hryvnias. As for wheels with a larger diameter, particularly R18 or R19, the cost of a set can increase to 1500–1800 hryvnias.

The price increase is associated with a number of reasons: rising electricity tariffs, more expensive logistics and consumables, as well as seasonal demand — in October and November, prices usually go up. In addition, there is a problem with a shortage of workers. In the capital, you can still easily find a working tire service, but in the regions the situation is much more complicated due to well-known circumstances…

It is worth recalling that experts advise changing tires to winter ones when the average daily temperature consistently stays below 7 °C. In such conditions, summer tires lose elasticity and hold the road worse, which directly affects traffic safety.
