Mercedes-Benz 250 SE Coupe was produced in a limited run of only 5,259 cars
The 250 SE replaced the 220 SEb coupe. In just over two years of production, the Sindelfingen plant produced 5,259 such coupes. In parallel, the 250 SE convertible was produced, with a much smaller run of 954 cars.
The two-door W111 received a large chrome radiator grille, vertical headlight units, and a five-seat interior. The car spotted in Dnipro retains chrome bumpers, moldings, and wheel covers in factory style.
Under the hood of the 250 SE was an inline six-cylinder gasoline engine M129 with a displacement of 2.5 liters and mechanical fuel injection. The engine produced 150 hp at 5,500 rpm and 216 Nm at 4,200 rpm.
“Mercedes-Benz 250 SE Coupe is rarely seen even on European roads today. Given the production run of 5,259 units, the appearance of such a W111 in Dnipro deserves attention, although it is impossible to determine the history and technical condition of a particular car from photos,” notes the author of the article, Oleksii Astapov.
