The main trump card of this car is its low cost. It is produced in China and sold there for prices ranging from $8,800 to $10,200.

The Renault City K-ZE is exclusive to the Chinese market, but recently this car has been imported to Ukraine in small batches by gray dealers. Again, due to the low price, although in our country they already ask for an order of magnitude more (which is quite logical, given the costs of delivery, registration, and the seller's profit) - from $12.5 to 15 thousand. However, even for that kind of money, the electric crossover does not lose its appeal.

And so, one of these Renault City K-ZE cars was tested by the teslaservice.kiev team in Odessa. Two hosts drove the car in turn, and each of them highlighted both positive and negative aspects. And even - just strange ones.

The first thing the YouTubers noted was the car's dimensions. It resembles a Duster, but is significantly smaller. At the same time, the compact dimensions paired with a dynamic motor provide the electric car with good playfulness and maneuverability. The suspension of the Renault City K-ZE is soft, despite the fact that it is strictly a compact city car (often the suspension on such cars is made stiff).

The maximum speed of the Renault City K-ZE is around 100 km/h. Up to 80 km/h, the car drives without any problems - smoothly, carefully. The battery capacity is 27 kWh, and according to the passport, it is enough for 270 km of range on the WLTP cycle. This methodology is outdated; it significantly overestimates the range, which was confirmed by the bloggers' test - after three hours of continuous driving with the heater on in the city and at an air temperature of 0 degrees, the remaining range was 80 km. That is, in reality, on a single "charge" the Renault electric car, according to teslaservice.kiev specialists, travels about 130 km.

Another plus is the high ground clearance, which helps the car not get stuck, for example, in snowdrifts.

The YouTubers also noted good equipment: there are two airbags, headlight adjustment, air conditioning, a powerful heater, rear window heating, tire pressure sensors, a gearbox in the form of a washer, a huge glove box, huge niches in the door cards, as well as the ability to connect to Wi-Fi and the ability to distribute the internet. However, the almost complete absence of active safety systems drew criticism.

Among the oddities of the electric car are the key ignition (whereas most other "electric cars" start with a button), the absence of fender liners, one massive wiper (instead of two regular ones), and the placement of the front power window buttons on the central console.
