The fact is that this Cobra is the personal car of the legendary Carroll Shelby, and its characteristics are impressive even by today's standards. It is the most powerful and fastest car of its time.
The roadster started life as a racing Shelby Cobra 427 Competition, but then Carroll Shelby decided to modify it for himself. Thus, the seven-liter V8 was supplemented with two mechanical superchargers, which raised the power from 425 to an impressive 800 hp.
Instead of the 4-speed manual, a 3-speed automatic was installed, but the dynamics did not suffer from this. The car weighing only 1156 kg accelerates to 100 km/h in 3 seconds, and the maximum speed exceeds 320 km/h – these are characteristics at the level of modern supercars.
The car has never been fully restored, but all owners took care of it and it is in very good condition. In the cabin, the front panel is adorned with Carroll Shelby's autograph.
In 2007, the Shelby Cobra 427 Super Snake was already sold at auction, and then it fetched 5.5 million dollars. Now the sports car has become even more expensive.
