This is evidenced by sales statistics from Jato Dynamics. Thus, in July, the Sandero sold 20,446 units, which is 6% more than in the same month last year. At the same time, 19,425 Europeans bought the German car – this is 37% less than a year earlier.

In August, the picture was almost repeated. Dacia sold 14,961 units of the Sandero, which is 8% more compared to August last year. The Volkswagen Golf took second place with 13,664 units.

But in third place in both the seventh and eighth months was the Toyota Yaris. In July, 18,858 units were purchased, and in August – 12,594 units.

It is possible that the commercial success of the Sandero was influenced by receiving a prestigious award – earlier, the French automotive magazine L’Argus named it the best car of 2021.

Interestingly, in August, another Dacia model managed to break into the leaders. This is the Duster crossover. 11,327 sold copies secured it the fourth position in the standings.

It should be noted that the third generation of the Sandero is already sold in Europe – it debuted in the fall of 2020 along with the new Logan. In Ukraine, however, both budget models are still presented in the second generation.
