To accommodate a large power unit in an engine bay designed for a 2.2-liter diesel, Kahn Design specialists had to enlarge the front of the "charged" Land Rover Defender. Because of this, the project was named Longnose, which translates as "Long Nose." However, the appearance of the legendary SUV only became more attractive from such tuning.
In addition to the engine and gearbox, the tuners replaced the main pairs in the axles and installed different differentials. The brake system was also upgraded, and the wheel arches were widened with special overlays. How much wider the tires on the Defender have become is not yet reported, but buyers are offered wheels ranging from 16 to 20 inches in diameter.

The interior has also undergone significant changes. The cabin features a sport steering wheel and bucket seats, as well as a different instrument panel. As additional options, a navigation system and window tinting are available.
Currently, the Longnose is offered exclusively in a short-wheelbase three-door version. The price of such a car is 89.9 thousand pounds sterling, which is equivalent to 147.5 thousand US dollars. The manufacturer plans to produce only 49 such units. The technical characteristics of the model are still kept secret.
Previously, a gasoline V8 with 520 hp was already installed on the Defender, but then it was a five-door modification. That SUV was priced in the range from 140 to 190 thousand pounds sterling and accelerated to the first "hundred" in just over 6 seconds.
