The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs also indicated how they will be distributed – now they will be in all regions.
Recall that currently 48 automatic recording cameras operate in Ukraine. Most of them (45) are installed in Kyiv and Kyiv region, but since December the first cameras have also started working in Lviv region.
As reported by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko, over 8 months the automatic recording system replenished the state budget of Ukraine by 209 million hryvnias. In addition, the number of traffic violations at camera installation sites decreased by 3 times, and cases of speeding – by 6 times.
In addition, from 2021, the so-called phantom patrols will appear on Ukrainian roads, measuring the speed of cars on highways. For now, there are four such cars and they operate in test mode.
