This news, which the car owner himself shared on social media, saddened many Britons, as the hot sedan was well known in automotive circles: it repeatedly participated in various tuning shows and broke many records. One of them is achieving a maximum speed of 339.5 km/h on the drag strip.

The RS3's loud victories were ensured by substantial technical modifications carried out by specialists from the tuning studio Race Developments. The car's engine was fitted with forged pistons, an upgraded turbocharger, a new control unit, a modified intake system, and even a methanol injection system. All this made it possible to squeeze the aforementioned 850 horsepower out of the motor.

However, this same tuning also destroyed the RS3: the exact cause of the "self-destruction" has not been established, but it is reliably known that the fire started in the engine compartment. At the time of the incident, the car was participating in filming, and when firefighters arrived at the scene, nothing could be done – the fire completely destroyed the high-performance "German".

The sedan's owner urged owners of tuned cars to take care not only of power but also of the safety of their "iron horses". According to him, if he had installed a fire suppression system in advance, the car would not have burned to the ground.
