Currently, according to Anatoliy Sirenko, head of the State Automobile Inspection department, dismantling of chains, barriers, and illegally installed signs for individual parking on the roadway is underway. At the moment, approximately 600 objects have been dismantled.
"The main goal of these changes is to prevent traffic jams, create safe and comfortable movement for public transport, and bring order to car parking to unload the streets," - Anatoliy Sirenko.
As for the system of impound lots and tow trucks, the head of the State Automobile Inspection department considers it corrupt and ineffective. According to him, - "I believe that legislative work needs to be done in this area. I have banned placing cars on impound lots because it is a highly corrupt area of earnings, and the prices for keeping cars on impound lots should be 15-20 UAH per day, not ten times more as it is now."
Regarding the 11 sections in Kyiv where the speed limit has been changed, Anatoliy Sirenko stated the following, - "I am categorically against exceeding the permissible speed on these road sections. The standard error of our devices is 2-3 km/h, and there is still a transition period, but soon sanctions will be applied against drivers who exceed the 80 km/h mark by more than 5 km."
